Well, this is annoying! For some reason Word Press is turning every photo I upload tonight on its side. Why? I know they are oriented correctly on my computer screen here at home. (scratching head).
On Sunday afternoon I took my brother Kevin for a walk around Centennial Lake on the north side of Columbia. It was a lovely day – low 70s, sunny, mild. The Canadian geese were covering the lake in places, especially around the central island. We walked about one quarter of the way around the lake and then Kevin got fascinated watching a man launch his small fishing skiff (with electric motor and fish finding sonar:) so I sat in the shade and took photos. A couple of geese cruised by for a spot:

So silly rotated like this. π
Monday was the monthly meeting of Grad Class (Mimi Dietrich’s Baltimore applique group). We had spectacular show and tell that particular meeting. Too many photos to share all of them! Here are a few:

NOW it starts orienting the photos correctly (will go back and try to upload the previous again later:). This is the eagle block from Mimi’s antique BA quilt — same pattern I’ve been working on – but she downsized it and digitized it to include machine embroidery. Very cool.

This is Mrs. Lincoln’s sampler. Those blocks are 6″ square, I think. Notice that they alternate pieced and applique designs.

Love this pineapple quilt Joan made. Pretty colors. π The backing fabric (the behind of the quilt) is a pineapple print in bright colors.
There were more really nice things but I got focused on looking at them and missed taking pics. π
Tuesday was grocery day with my brother … which went well as usual. He is a light eater and it usually only takes him about a half hour to find all his supplies.
Wednesday I _thought_ I had to take Kevin for an eye exam. Got to the optician’s office and found out his appointment was for THURSDAY afternoon. Sigh. I don’t usually make that kind of mistake but it does happen occasionally. So, homeward,
Today (Thursday) I did take him back for his eye exam. First time he’s had one in several years, apparently. He’s wearing reading glasses he got about ten years ago now.
Tomorrow is Sewing Together with my friends Barbara and Patty. Looking forward to it!
π Linda
