Tuesday, grocery day

By

I am really bad at heeding that idea, myself. I am the Queen of Putting Off. sigh. My entire home is an example in point.

Tuesday afternoons are my regularly scheduled times to take my brother Kevin out. We eat lunch somewhere and then I take him grocery shopping. When he first moved here, I took him around (one per week) to a number of the local groceries … then let him choose the one he wanted to patronize. After some shopping around, he chose the Giant Foods here in my neighborhood in Owen Brown Village Center.

So, today was grocery day. 🙂 We decided to eat somewhere new for his meal out today. I took him to Eggspectation in downtown Columbia. The place was, hmm, very upscale and kind of wasted on Kevin (who prefers fast food). I don’t think he liked his burger. Shrug. I had a very good salad and enjoyed every bite. 🙂

I did not have much to buy for our household today (sometimes I have quite a lot, depending on how long it has been since I’ve ordered in our groceries – usually from Wegmans). Kevin had his usual lunches and frozen dinners (he does not want to cook but can use the microwave quite well). I was quite happy to buy some chocolate and some pea pod chips … sadly the bagels were all gone by this afternoon so I missed out on those.

After taking him home, I drove past the post office to send off the letters I generated. Other than those chores and taking out the recycling for collection early tomorrow morning (I am so grateful that we have curbside recycling collection here!), I spent the rest of my day watching YouTube videos (mostly on paper arts and archaeology) and reading.

🙂 Linda
